The Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting THON™ — the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Every dollar raised helps provide comprehensive care for children and families affected by childhood cancer through Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

Supporting THON through DMAIG
Direct Donation to DMAIG
Make a tax-deductible donation to support DMAIG’s operations and our ongoing support of THON. Contributions fund volunteer support, community engagement, and our annual fundraising events.
Hope from Coast to Coast
Hope From Coast to Coast is DMAIG’s signature annual fundraiser, featuring a virtual challenge and an in-person run in State College during THON Weekend. Support your favorite runner or make a general event donation.
Give Through Your Donor Advised Fund
Do you have a Donor Advised Fund through Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or another sponsoring organization? Recommending a grant to DMAIG is simple — just search for Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (EIN: 25-1821769) in your DAF provider’s portal. Rick Funk Leadership Award
The Rick Funk Dance Marathon Leadership Award was established in 1996. This award seeks to recognize a student who has demonstrated commitment, loyalty, leadership and the ability to motivate other students involved in THON. Endowment
The Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) Endowment for THON Alumni Engagement will provide discretionary annual funding for the THON alumni engagement director and THON executive director to support innovative means of outreach and inspiration to effectively engage more alumni in THON’s mission.
