To the Penn State THON Alumni Community,
As we wrap up Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to reach out on behalf of the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) Board of Directors and introduce myself. It is an honor to serve as president of DMAIG for the 2023-2025 term!
The mission of DMAIG is to lead a passionate community of alumni who create and promote opportunities to raise awareness, volunteer time, and provide philanthropic support that champions the efforts of THON.
I have been involved with THON since 2009 and with DMAIG since 2013, and my passion for this cause continues to grow, year after year. Whether you have been involved in THON since its early days in the HUB or just learned about it yesterday, I hope DMAIG can help inspire you to continue the fight against childhood cancer.
The DMAIG Board of Directors is here to support Penn State alumni around the globe. Have an idea for a fundraiser? Want to dance as a Penn State alumna/us or participate in Hope From Coast 2 Coast? Looking to spread the word about THON to your local community? x`I do hope you’ll reach out so that we can provide you with resources, creativity, and encouragement.
Thank you for taking the time to read this note. I’d like to leave you with one last message — Your time at THON does not stop after graduation, it has only begun!
