Hello THON alumni! A lot of us are watching our calendars and counting down to the long weekend and the "unofficial start to summer." But that's not the only countdown that we're watching. Before the weekend even starts, there's a fantastic event coming up in Pittsburgh. So keep on reading and checking back for updates. Pittsburgh THON Night Out
Doc's Place, Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA
May 21, 2009 - 6 pm to 9 pm
Join us to kick off the THON 2010 fundraising season with a night at Doc's in Shadyside! Back by popular demand, this Pittsburgh's our second THON Night Out hosted by Doc's. With your $10 donation at the door, the evening will feature a free drink ticket, free appetizers, select menu items at half price, good music, and game two of the Penguins' playoff series. When's the Next mini-THON?
It's this Friday! At 7 pm, students at the Red Lion High School in Red Lion, PA, will get up to dance to raise funds for the kids. It's a great effort...please cheer them on!
Penn State Night at the Ballpark...RESCHEDULED
Did you get tickets for the Penn State Night at the Ballpark Phillies game from April 20? If you did, you probably remember that the game was postponed for weather. The new date is announced, and your tickets are good for the newly rescheduled alumni event. It's July 23. If you don't have tickets but still want to join us, it's not too late of course! Just visit http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/phi/ticketing/group/psu.jsp to purchase tickets. It's a 7:05 start time, and the evening will feature a pre-game performance by the Alumni Blue Band, and it's Hatfield Phillies Franks Dollar Dog Night!

Recently, DMAIG partnered with the Alumni Association to utilize the Penn State Real Life Program. Here’s how it works: When you sign up for life membership in the Alumni Association, or if you receive life membership as a gift, just specify that you’re a member of the DMAIG, and the Alumni Association will make a donation to DMAIG.
To help benefit DMAIG by joining the Penn State Alumni Association and becoming a life member, please visit www.alumni.psu.edu/4life and please remember to select Life Membership, choose the "Alumni Interest Group" option, and then select "Dance Marathon IAF" from the pull-down menu.
