Affiliate groups of the Penn State Alumni Association now have another option in generating funds for group events and activities. The Real Life program, now in its fourth year, rewards groups for their efforts in recruiting new life members to the Alumni Association.

The Penn State Alumni Association still ranks as the world’s largest dues-paying alumni association. However, we’re number two in total life members. In an effort to climb in the rankings and provide an additional revenue source for our groups at the same time, we’ve enlisted our volunteers in the effort to recruit new life members. Few people can talk more convincingly about the value of membership in the Alumni Association than our dedicated volunteer leaders.

So here’s how it works: Each group will receive $50 for every new life member recruited during the fiscal year. Each group has been assigned a unique three-digit code provided in this packet. DMAIG's three digit code is IAF.

Please note that this program rewards groups not only for recruiting new Alumni Association life members, but also for converting current annual members to life membership.

How to Sign Up
1) Complete the membership application at www.alumni.psu.edu/4life. In order for your group to earn $50 the group member must become a life member.
2) Check the box on the form for a life membership, then make sure to indicate your group affiliation when completing the online application.
3) Include payment information with application.
4) That's it!

Group members may also complete their membership by phone at 800-548-LION (5466). It is essential that the member have the appropriate group code handy when calling.
