In honor of THON and The Four Diamonds Fund’s 40th anniversaries, the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group is hosting a reception during THON Weekend 2012. During the reception on Saturday, February 18th, three awards will be given out to individuals and groups for their work with THON/4D as alumni:
- DMAIG Volunteer of the Year Award
- Most Innovative Fundraising Event
DMAIG Lifetime Volunteer Award
New award in honor of the 40th Anniversaries of THON and The Four Diamonds Fund!
This award seeks to recognize the actions and drive of a powerful THON alumni volunteer--one who has remained committed to spreading and supporting the missions of THON, DMAIG, and The Four Diamonds Fund. This nominee has gone above and beyond to provide time, money, and resources to aid in conquering pediatric cancer. The nominee has served as an inspiration to the entire THON and Four Diamonds community by spreading awareness and encouraging others to get involved.

DMAIG 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award
This award seeks to recognize the actions and drive of a THON alumni volunteer over the past year. This volunteer works hard to spread the missions of THON, DMAIG, and The Four Diamonds Fund. The nominee encourages others to get involved, plan new events, and serve as inspiration to the entire THON and Four Diamonds community.

This award seeks to recognize the efforts of a DMAIG-sponsored event that went above and beyond in planning and execution. This innovative event represents the missions and ideals of THON, DMAIG, and The Four Diamonds Fund. The event brings together both alumni and their communities to spread the awareness of pediatric cancer and The Four Diamonds Fund across the nation.
