Third Canister Solicitation Weekend Cancelled

Taken from Penn State Dance Marathon's Facebook page

"After lengthy consultation with senior level meteorologists, THON is canceling the third canister solicitation weekend. The weather forecast has changed significantly in the past 12 hours. There are reports of significant icing Friday night into Saturday afternoon across the regions frequently travelled to by THON volunteers for canister solictation, which present dangerous conditions for travel as well as canning. No student volunteers are permitted to travel for fundraising on behalf of THON this weekend.

We know this is disheartening news, but the safety of our vounteers is utmost priority. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to call the THON Office at 1-800-392-THON or email canning@thon.org. Thank you!"
